Amie hates the sunset although she has not seen it for the longest time. Traumatically beautiful. It is like the last supper. Sumptuous yet unappetizing. She has almost forgotten the smell of fresh air. Her hair, her clothes, her sheets, they all are stained with the stench of medicine. Counting down the days she has left to battle with life. She fears. And she does not want to live in fear anymore...

drowning
You can hardly see.
You can't move or think.
Like a helpless kitten,
thrown into the the vast ocean,
struggling to survive.
There's tears,
or is it just water?
You have no idea.
Maybe it doesn't matter anymore.
There's nothing to hold on to.
And you're not fighting for the last breath.
Your heart is weak.
And you wish you were dead.
But you're just drowning.
Deeper and deeper.
Into the world of the unknown.
